WHO IS PSI-SA

PSI-SA was founded in 2024, with humble beginnings as an accredited pet-sitting entity serving the local pet community and developing pet care skills for its members since 2010.
PSI-SA began in response to the industry's call for relevance, unity, collaboration and standardised training between formal and informal pet care service providers and industry stakeholders. 
Over the past 15 years, our founders have trained, developed and mitigated risks for hundreds of successful small pet care businesses across South Africa.
Our mission is to provide a shared code of conduct, income sustainability, professional networking, and a like-mindedness regarding industry ethics and customer care for all members of PSI-SA.
We invite all independent pet sitters to join our expanding movement to uplift, formalise and legitimately certify professional pet sitters in South Africa.

ABOUT US

WHAT WE DO

Providing you peace of mind by ensuring professional, certified pet care training.

Professional Certifications from Level 1.
From R 600.

We provide Level 1 pet care certification for all pet sitters who share a passion for pets and people. New members (students) can register for the L1 pet care competency module to become members of the Pet Sitter Institute.

Members who successfully complete our internal L1 training will be included in our national database of certified pet sitters and will enjoy membership benefits and network opportunities. 

Members completing the L1 module will receive a discounted  membership fee to PSI-SA with all benefits. 

Quarterly regional members' meetings online or in-person.
No Charge.

Community and collaboration are key success factors to remaining connected and relevant in our fast-paced world.

PSI-SA encourages our members to engage with other like-minded members, sharing resources and experiences.
